I feel like I'm being watched!
I've been using the old water after cleaning out my fish, to water the house plants for a while now and I think this Orchid plant likes it! I've never seen so many flowers on one plant before! As you can see, one sneaky stem came out from under a leaf and it was too late to guide it upwards, but I don't think the plant minds. Full of nitrogens (and other things I can't think of off the top of my head) the old aquarium water was a great top tip from the owner of the Bonsai shop in town.

Thought I'd add a couple of pictures of the cushion covers I made recently for my sister. I had made a small square cushion cover in the same vintage kimono fabric for her a while back, then she asked me to make a couple of bolster style covers to match. After a lots of zipper errors and one major fabric size mistake ( for something so simple it had me going for weeks!) I think they were pretty successful.

I don't have a lot of time for sewing lately, so little half hour snippets here and there and I eventually got them finished. I plan on spending less time in front of the television over the next few months and more time in front of a sewing machine, because the results are so much more satisfying.
